Desire2Learn Valence Demographics not showing in web UI - desire2learn

I am using Desire2Learn Valence PHP API to create, retrieve and update users demographics as found here Demographics (data types, fields, users and org units). I am successful in creating and viewing demographics fields using the valence API calls.
The problem is that I cannot find anywhere in the web interface UI, where to view that students demographics fields that have been created using valence.
Does something need to be enabled in the DOME to view the demographics?
Or, are the demographic fields, only part of valence, and not the web UI?

The demographic fields are currently exposed in Valence only. We're looking at how they may be used in other parts of the system but have not included anything into the core UI just yet. We wanted to make this available to app developers and clients but didn't want them to have to wait for exposure in the UI.
There's some obvious places we may want to expose the fields but also lots places we haven't thought about that are important. We're interested in hearing more about where people would like to see these being used.

How to Embed a PowerBI Tile in a Rails app? (and apply filter to it)

I'm struggling with this since a week... I have tried so many things, read so many documentations (walkthrougsh), I can't find any solutions and I have lost the clarity. I really need your help.

I have a Power BI account and a Azure account.
I'm using an example set of data on PowerBI (Retail Analysis Sample).
I want my users to signin on my app (through devise), then access to some pages and see embedded PowerBI Tiles (or report, or dashboard maybe). Then I want them to be able to filter the results. A client-side example is https://microsoft.github.io/PowerBI-JavaScript/demo/filters.html.
I want to be able to do the same.
I'm lost with all the client id, secret, ressource uri, ressource url, ...
What solution/walkthrough must I use?

You may want to look into Power Bi Embedded here. This will allow you to control who can see what content from within your application without having to authenticate with the Power Bi service. Power Bi Embedded is an azure service that allows you to upload pbix files which are then subsequently available for view by using an "Access key" to get a token to view the report. I know it works well for displaying "Reports," I am not sure about just showing "Tiles." They recently released RLS and some new Javascript SDK for more advanced features like filtering, check that here.

Custom user tracking or 3rd party service for page referral analytics

The question I'm trying to answer for a set of users is how other users end up on their page. There are about 5 different ways a user can end up on your page. For example, they could have searched your name, clicked a link from a newsfeed or received an e-mail with a link to your page.
What is the best way to accomplish tracking these events? I'm initially inclined to create a table to track this. Each link would send an async event to the server to be added to the table. However, I'm also aware that there are many tracking services out there such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel. I've looked at their docs briefly and they don't seem to fit my need.
Am I missing something? Is it worth it to create a "custom" even tracking system to accomplish this?
It is not worth creating your own service. Plus you cannot add async link to search engine result pages or emails (that would require tracking code that you cannot implement in search engines or that would not be executed in mail clients).
Web analytics software tracks traffic sources by analyzing the incoming traffic via its http headers. If there is a referrer set the traffic will be attributed to, well, the referring site, unless the traffic is included in a list of known search engines in which case it will be attributed to organic search traffic etc.
In most systems you can customize source attribution by adding query parameters in the url (obviously this will not work with search engines and the like, since you cannot add parameters to organic search results). For example with Google Analytics you can add custom campaign parameters in email links or advertising campaigns. If people click on those links the parameter value will be send to GA and the source/medium/campaign information will be set accordingly (e.g. traffic from web mail clients would usually be attributed as a referrer, but campaign parameters allow to attribute the link to your mail campaigns).
There might be reasons to create your own system, but channel attribution is not one of them; GA and every other system I know of has this thoroughly covered.

Check if Campaign Has Changes

I'm currently working with Adwords API and I like to ask if there is a way on how can check if a campaign has changed? (Campaigns's name, keywords, etc etc...) As far as I researched the only way to check is by using the customer sync services, but it only checks for the campaign's common settings. Keywords and Text Ads are not included. I'm using Java by the way.

Accessing quizzes and turnitin.com dropboxes with valence

I am trying to collect some information on the usage of quizzes and turnitin.com enabled dropboxes for specific courses within the d2l database. All I really need is a way to tell via valence whether or not a course offering has a turnitin.com enabled dropbox and/or a quiz associated with it, though other useful information would be nice as well. Is there a way to do this with valence? I should note that I am aware of how to access a list of standard dropboxes, but I cannot seem to find how to tell if that particular dropbox is turnitin.com enabled. I have no starting point for quizzes. I appreciate your help, and please let me know if I can clarify anything. Thank you.
There is no current way to identify, through Valence, a TurnItIn enabled Dropbox. Our TurnItIn integration is an extension available to customers who have the appropriate TurnItIn licensing. Because we cannot assume it is in place, we cannot expose this data through Valence. I am not sure if this information would be available through TurnItIn API's.
In regards to Quizzes, today we don't have Quiz data exposed through Valence. One option for you, which isn't perfect, would be to parse through Content Topics looking for Quicklinks which contain a reference type of quiz. This would provide you with a list of how many quizzes are linked into the course's content experience.

Get public users of a service (Tumblr, Twitter)

Assuming it's not available as part of API, how can one obtain a full or partial list of public users of a web service, e.g. Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube?
Acceptable alternative: get a random public user.
I was interested in this for testing APIs with a random account. This is useful to catch edge cases when developing an app for the API; For example when developing a Tumblr theme, seeing what volumes of text/images are posted, special character use, and so on.
Can you even imagine a full list of (public) users of largely used web services? That's a vast load of data. I hardly believe that any API would offer that for many reasons:
performance/load issues,
data/information privacy,
abusing possibilities,...
For regular usage of the service's API you simply don't need that. Otherwise it would stink with some gray/black techniques.
Anyway to answer you question objectively: In order to get full or partial list of users from web service it have to provide any kind of API which would allow you to do that. So good starting point is to look at documentation, for example Twitter API, Youtube API, etc...
By swift look I don't see any method that would offer that. It might change in the future but as mentioned above I strongly doubt about that.
Another option is to mine partial list of users via search APIs or traversing the site with a robot. Also obtaining such a list is an option. However I would check whether this is even legal and not against terms of use or something like that.
