Smart European Date input control - orbeon

Using orbeon-4.1.0.201304182144-PE, I'm having a problem with Smart Date completion.
I've included the configuration property:
<property as="xs:string" name="oxf.xforms.format.input.date" value="[D]/[M]/[Y]"/>
to take European-style dates as input.
The condition for Smart Date completion:
When the oxf.xforms.format.input.date property starts with [D: e.g.
20/10
from Input Control-Forms doesn't seem to trigger. I get:
Input Output
20 20/5/2013 (Correct)
20/5 Not Valid (Incorrect, should be 20/5/2013)
20/5/13 20/5/2013 (Correct)
5/20 20/5/2013 (Incorrect, should be Not Valid)
Is this a bug?

This was a bug, and it is now fixed. The fix will be in the next release of Orbeon Forms, which at the time of this writing will most likely be 4.2.

Oracle Report stuck in post processing when trying to generate a report

I am creating a Oracle Report. The report is supposed to take a bunch of input and create the report. It is not working for some specific cases.
The input are as follows
1. Account number
2.org id
3. start _date
4.end date
the report is supposed to generate a report for the org_id(constant) based on the account number and for date between start date and end date.
When the account_number is not provided it will return all the information regarding all accounts.
It works when I give specific account information
It works for specific dates (10-jan-25th jan ,20thjan-31st-jan) with out any account number: i.e. it returns information about all account number for given time period.
but it fails to give me information about 10-jan-31st jan. Which I can not figure out why.
I have tried to get the xml and put it in the template and create a preview,
the preview does not work and gives me the following error:
error: Conf File: C:\Template Builder for Word\config\xdo config.xml Font Dir: C:\Template Builder for Word\fonts Run XDO Start Template: C:\MyFiles\XML_Publisher\lATEST OUTPUT\XXONT_M193_CANCELLED_HOLDS .rtf RTFProcessor setLocale: en-us FOProcessor setData: C:\MyFiles\XML_Publisher\Test\errchk15jan7feb.xml FOProcessor setLocale: en-us
With the longer date range, the XML file might be too big for the output postprocessor. Did you check the size of the XML file?
If this is the problem, you can use our company's Blitz Report, which doesn't have size limitations: https://www.enginatics.com/faq/#how-does-blitz-report-compare-with-oracle-bi-publisher

Orbeon Documentation for oxf.xforms.format.input.time

<!-- [h]:[m]:[s] [P,*-2] or [h]:[m]:[s] [P,2-2] or [H]:[m]:[s] -->
<property as="xs:string" name="oxf.xforms.format.input.time" value="[h]:[m]:[s] [P,*-2]"/>
I wonder if the Orbeon time picker can display hours with preceding zero e.g. parse from 5:00pm becomes 05:00pm, and found above properties.
Also, can anyone explain what [P, *-2] and [P,2-2] mean?
Regarding your questions:
You can use [P,2-2] if you don't want dots in am and pm.
Adding leading zeros currently isn't supported. (If your organization has a PE or Dev Support subscription, you can contact Orbeon to see if this can be implemented as a "sponsored feature".)
And you can find more about the supported format in the section of the documentation about xf:input formatting.

How do I get the Ant <input> task to output åäö (and similar characters) properly?

My first question. Please bear with me!
I have an Ant task that need to get some input from the user before proceeding. I use the Input task to achieve this. The input message will contain Swedish characters (eg å, ä and ö) but I am unable to get Ant to output the message properly. I'm testing this using the command line on a machine running Windows 7 Pro English (but obviously using a Swedish keyboard). Example:
<input message="åäö"/>
will output:
[input] Õõ÷
The build.xml is saved in UTF-8 format. If I do 'chcp' on the command line I get "Active code page: 850".
The same result can be seen when doing an echo:
<echo message="åäö"/>
will output:
[echo] Õõ÷
But in the case of the echo task I'm able to do:
<echo encoding="850" message=åäö">
to get the expected output:
[echo] åäö
The input task does however not have an encoding attribute and I'd very much prefer to not have to define an encoding at all, especially not on a per-task level (since I can't tell for sure on what machine the Ant script will be run from).
PS I have additional problems with the received input if it contains åäö and I set the input as a property that is later used in a filter copy task, but I guess that's a whole other question
I can observe the issue on my Polish Windows.
<script language="javascript">
java.lang.System.out.println("default charset: "
+ java.nio.charset.Charset.defaultCharset());
</script>
reports default charset as "windows-1250" while the console operates at "iso-8859-2" (I guess so).
Looks like <input> task uses the default charset thinking it would match the console input. In case it does not, I managed to override the encoding this way:
set ANT_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=iso-8859-2
ant
In your case I would try to force 850, as it looks like JRE defaults to something else.
This question helped me to find the property name.
It is also important where ant is run from. If I run it from my ide, jedit console plugin, I don't need to override encoding, because I configured it to operate in windows-1250. So it seems to be another workaround, using an IDE.

URLTrigger plugin. Need examples for TXT-RegEx or XML-XPath

So, I try to use plugin https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/URLTrigger+Plugin.
I want to trigger my Jenkins job when the text "Last build (#40), 17 hr ago" in the response of provided URL is changed (build number will be different after each build).
So I made following configurations:
1. Build trigger: Set [URLTrigger] - Poll with a URL.
2. Specified URL to another Jenkins: http://mydomain:8080/job/MasterJobDoNothing/
3. Set Inspect URL content option
4. Set Monitor the contents of a TEXT response
5. Set following regular expression: ^Last build[.]*
6. Set Schedule every minute: * * * * *
7. Trigger the job on another Jenkins
Actual result: My job wasn't triggered.
Then I tried to deal with XML/XPath and specify
8. Set Monitor the contents of an XML response
9. Set XPath: //*[#id="side-panel"] (also tried with one "/")
Actual result: the same.
Tell me please what I'm doing wrong? Please provide examples of RegEx or XPath if possible.
Thanks, Dima
I managed to trigger reliably with regex setting.
The regex pattern matches each line of the input.
No need to use ^ or $. it always match line start to line end.
This plugin compares the contents of the matched lines. It triggers if different.
This plugin compares the count of the matched lines. It triggers if the count is different.
This plugin uses matches() method of java.util.regex.Matcher. So the regex pattern should conform to it. (it's fairly normal regex)
As for your example,
Last build.*
may work.

I'd recommend to use the "RSS for all" link as a trigger URL instead, and /feed/entry[1] as the XPath expression for the XML response content nature.
PS: I was using PathEnq to debug the XPath expression.

RTE validation not happening

https://gist.github.com/773349
RTE field validation is not happening if I traverse from RTE to RTE. Please find the attached git.
Steps to reproduce
Case 1
Focus into RTE1, type Hello
Tab out to text input (Node Selector)
Validation works
Case 2
Focus into RTE1, type Hello
Tab out to RTE2
Validation doesn't work
I tried with nightly build and was able to reproduce the above error and case 1 is failing too. An other difference that I noticed is "xxforms-value-change-with-focus-change" event is not fired when moved from RTE to RTE.
This is fixed as of 2011-01-24, and this fix will be included in the Orbeon Forms 3.9 release. Also see: [ #315639 ] RTE: values are not sent to the server when the RTE looses the focus.
