I included 'backbone-on-rails' in my Gemfile, did bundle install, and then did
rails generate backbone:install --javascript
And I got the error below. I'm using rails 3.2.8 and ruby 193. Can anyone explain what the problem might be?
If I can't get the gem to work, does anyone know where I should include _underscore and backbone in a Rails application?

Attempting to do the Rails tutorial on railstutorial.org. I'm currently at the testing portion of the tutorial and I keep on getting an error when performing the test. The test file I created with 'generate StaticPages controller' command is as is, I have not modified it at all. When I enter in the command 'rails test' I get this error:

application_helper.rb_helper.rb - is this how you called your helper? .rb is an extension. Thus could you change the name of the helper file to application_helper.rb and see if that works?

Simply rename the root folder to the same name. Not sure why that would work, though :)

Okay, I figured out the problem. I guess because I previous installed devise and tried to reinstall a new version. However, devise automatically created some models for the app. I deleted those created folders/files and rerun rails generate devise:install and it worked.
When I try to perform "rails generate devise:install" I get this error message:
I've tried re-installing the devise gem multiple times. This error also comes up when I try to start up my server. I'm wondering if the cause of this is from initially trying to install the devise gem with "rails generate devise install" instead of putting a colon between devise and install.

It looks like your accidental install created Install model and other files. Delete those, perhaps?
I am using the device gem and without devise install . Then use, the cmd rails g device auth in this case rails throw the error than using this method my problem is solved

I have no idea what this the internal working of rails is as this error seem to be some problem coming from 'mapping.rb'.

Your syntax for defining a root route is incorrect, it should be either root to: 'dunbs#index' or root 'dunbs#index'.

Pretty much there in the title. I worked on a project with someone else, then cloned the git repo to my computer, added a new controller, and then thought better so ran:
rails destroy controller requests
(requests is the name of the controller), only to get this endless error message:

It's worked before, so what's happening? Might I need to reinstall something that got overwritten?
Also, any ideas why on earth is the error pasting all that stuff about the rails tutorial I'm taking? I don't remember that text being anywhere in my files?

It seems like you might have an error with your routes. Did any new routes get added to your routes.rb? If so, try commenting them out and then running your command.
