How do you cancel a BlackBerry app submission? - blackberry

How do you cancel ("developer reject") a submission to BlackBerry App World?

Not sure why the Barney Fifes of Stack Overflow are downvoting and voting to close this relevant, important and previously unanswered question, but..
I found an App World Vendor Support contact form here:
https://www.blackberry.com/profile/?eventId=8109
From the Issue dropdown, I selected "Vendor Portal - Manage Applications / Application Submission" and Issue Type "Release - Release Management". The other appropriate option would have been Issue - "Application Launch Status Request". I'm waiting to hear back from RIM and will update this answer once I do.
UPDATE: Our issue was a simple mistake -- we did not upload all the necessary COD files in our filebundles. However, RIM APPROVED the app and it went into App World! Attempting to download the app crashed App World 3.0 with the message "There is an issue with BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry App World must now close." Ultimately, we received an e-mail from App World support saying they had denied the approved release and we could move it back into draft and upload the complete filebundles.
So yes, you CAN stop an app submission (even after it's approved and up for sale), but only by e-mailing App World support directly. There is currently no way for vendors to do this manually as in iTunes Connect.

There is no option to stop app submission after you send the app for review. You have to upload new binary and send for review again if you you have any changes

Can't upload binary with App Clip target to App Store - ERROR ITMS-90834

I added AppClip target to my project, and followed Apple's own documentation. It runs without any error on both simulator and real device.
As it's explained in related WWDC videos, and this article, in order to configure default or advanced app clips experiences, apps have to be uploaded to App Store Connect.
I am using Xcode's Organizer to upload my binary, but I am receiving the following error.
ERROR ITMS-90834:
"Unsupported content.
This app contains an app clip.
Apps with app clips cannot be submitted at this time."
How can I pass this? Is there any other way to configure and test App Clip launch experiences?
App Clips should be fully operational now on iTunes
Outdated answer:
I found this answer by an Apple Engineer on developer forum.
This feature will be available later this year but I can't provide an
exact date. In the past, new features of TestFlight or App Store
Connect were often made available before the general availability of
iOS versions.
It looks like we need to wait some time to test App Clips.
It's available now.It happened with the recent update of TestFlight (when they changed the TestFlight icon)

Unity Codeless IAP IOS build rejected

I have a problem using Unity's codeless API in conjunction with IOS.
Apple keeps rejecting the build with the following message:
Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness
We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs
when reviewed on iPad running iOS 12.1 on Wi-Fi.
Specifically, no action takes place when we initiate the purchase.
Some notes:
I succesfully built and published the app on android.
The IOS version works with the uploaded build. I can make in app purchases when i run the app on my iphone.
I have filled in all the required legal/ financial information and have a valid contract for purchases as defined in the ios docs.
The build is set as "release" and "development build" is NOT checked.
After rejection by apple, all the in app purchases in the developer console are marked as requiring action.
Specifically it is now showing that the localizations are invalid. However no further information is given. I suspect this is just because the build is rejected?
So, has anyone had a similar problem? Having the app run fine when using the development build on a local phone, but still having it rejected because of the aforementioned reason?
In the end i requested i call with Apple to discuss the rejection of my IOS build(s).
It had been rejected 3/4 times with the same reason.
The reason: A problem on their part. They suspect they had a misconfigured environment on their side, which resulted in a not working build on Ipad.
I did not have to upload a new build, they reused the last rejected one and it was approved within hours of my call.
I suspect that the developers might have been confused, seeing that the app was entirely in dutch. This can seriously cause some confusing, because the representative on the phone had trouble locating some IAP functionality himself like the restore button.
So should you have the same problem:
If your app is in a non-english language, specificy where the reviewers have to click for In App Products, where the Restore button is and similar key parts of your app.
Request a call with Apple if you are sure that you did everything correctly. Talking on the phone with them really helps speed up the review process and clarify any misunderstandings.

new version of ios application error

I have a problem with iOS application, that I uploaded to Itunes for publishing in the store. Apple began the typical process of approval, but errors appeared.
The application worked in my test enviroment. No problems. When the Apple revision process began they told me that the application doesn't start.
When the application start the error is:
There is a new version of AppName
to download. Press OK button to
download it in the AppStore
But:
1) The application is the only version. Is a new app, never uploaded before to Apple Store.
2) When i push the OK, the app closes. So, no way to run the app even with that.
I search through forums and internet with no luck. I don't know where to search about this problem.
For more confusion, after the test from Apple, in my test enviroment i can reproduce the error. I don't know if i did anything wrong in the middle or something change on app version check from Apple.
I contact Apple in the previous days to give more info about the problem, but the only that they say is "the application does not work"
Can you give me an advice?... what info you need? (logs, etc)
Thanks to point me in the right direction.

How to reject binary from iTunes Connect after redesign (12/09/2014)?

I need to reject my binary so I can re-upload. This was always quite a hidden option on iTunes connect. Now with the re-design, I've looked everywhere and can't find it.
According to Apple's own docs:
To remove your build from review Open the App Details page for the app, as described in To open the App Details page for an app.
On Versions, above the app's metadata, this message appears: "You can
only edit all information while your version is waiting for review. To
submit a new build, you must remove this version from review." Click
"remove this version from review"
See page here
However, I do not see this dialog. It's as though it's been replaced by the App Preview Video section..
Am I missing something? How can I reject it, to re-upload?
In my case I am having this link above version Information section, Try to Refresh or Relogin and see,
As of 11-Sept-2014 - there seems to be no way to do this. Yesterday the message in hemantchittora's solution was possible and so was rejecting the binary from the ITC iOS app, but today neither of those seem possible. I have submitted this exact question to Apple Support.
Update: After waiting a few hours for the build to process the message in hemantchittora's post finally did appear. So it seems you can't reject a build right away but only after it finishes processing. When uploading a new build you have to increase the build number (but not the version number)

Editing screenshots in iTunes Connect after iOS app was approved

In the iTunes Connect App Management interface -- how do I edit the screenshots for my localized (approved and live) iPhone app?
Unfortunately, the web upload form had a bug which actually required the screenshots to be provided in reverse order (I provided them in the correct order, which meant that Apple reversed them and now they ended up wrong). Also mentioned here at StackOverflow. I only managed to edit the 4 screenshots in the US version, but not my localized version, and that was in the old interface.
The current standing on this has changed to:
Beginning January 9 [2013], app screenshots will be locked in iTunes Connect once your app has been approved. New screenshots may be uploaded when you submit a binary for an update to an existing app or a new app.
Apple support now got back with the (somehow not too satisfactory) answer:
If your app is currently for sale on
the App Store, you will need to submit
an update in order to change your app
screenshots.
If you have any further questions
regarding this, please let us know.
I was able to change my screenshots after my app was ready for sale, just click on "View Details" in iTunes Connect, delete the old screenshots and replace them, then "Done". The change is not instant so wait a bit. Then you will see your new screenshots on AppStore ;)
As of today, it appears you can't edit screenshots after you submit a new version. I tried everything but couldn't delete the draft screenshots until I finally removed my app from submission.
I usually use the time after submission to edit and improve the screenshots, but now have to be doing it before submission. This is a horrible change. Here is the email from support.
Being unable to now edit screenshots while an app is in "Waiting for
Review" status, is expected behavior.
Developer-facing documentation currently lists "Waiting for Review" as
a state where locked metadata can be edited. Screenshots should be the
only locked metadata that cannot be edited while an app is in the
"Waiting for Review" status.
We are currently updating the developer resources and documentation to
clarify
From the updated manual :
(*)
If you have new application screenshots for a version of your application, it is best to wait until this new version of your app is approved before updating your screenshots in iTunes Connect. Updating these before a version approval will change the screenshots for the currently-live application version. This best practice also applies to application metadata changes that you wish to coordinate for a specific version.
On the other hand, in the table in Appendix A it is stated that the screenshots are Locked, Version-level (page 153).
Version-level is:
If the item is marked on the Version, then the item information will relate to a specific version and may vary between versions.
Locked is:
If the item is marked as Locked, it can only be edited in an Editable State.
And a list of Editable states is:
Prepare For Upload, Waiting For Upload, Waiting For Review, Waiting For Export Compliance, Upload Received, Rejected, Developer Rejected, Invalid Binary, Missing Screenshot.
None of these states can be reached once the app is Ready For Sale by using any button in the iTunes Connect. The only reasonable thing that I can think of is submitting another minor version binary to Apple and looking for the possibility of changing the screenshots during the submission process.
The problem is (*):
If you have new application screenshots for a version of your application, it is best to wait until this new version of your app is approved before updating your screenshots in iTunes Connect.
So how do I do it correctly????????
I thought the same exact thing a couple of days ago. Then I uploaded it again in reverse order but instead it was random. They need to make a better UI for this. One where we dont even need to re-upload them, but arrows to move it up/down.
The official answer I received from Apple is:
Your app screenshots cannot be edited once your app has been approved. You can edit them in all other editable states.
Please note, when updating your app currently, you will be able to provide new screenshots and the new screenshots will not go live until the update is approved.
If you have any further questions regarding this, please let us know.
There's been some back and forth on the possibility of changing screenshots of an app that is in "Ready for Sale" state, without having to upload new binary.
At one point it was possible, but as of January 9th 2013 it requires a new binary:
Beginning January 9, app screenshots will be locked in iTunes Connect
once your app has been approved. New screenshots may be uploaded when
you submit a binary for an update to an existing app or a new app. For
more information on capturing and using screenshots, read the Xcode
User Guide.

Images CAN be edited after an app is available for sale. This was changed at end of 2010. If you already have 5 images - the upload link will not work until you delete one. No need to worry - if you delete one and have any issues on the DPI or RGB of what you are trying to upload (get an error or it is rejected) you can always click 'cancel' rather than 'save' and your original images will remain.
You dont need to add new version. Just wait about 1hr and your changes at screenshot gallery will appear at AppStore.
Solution for me was to use Safari. The controls would not show in Google Chrome. Using Safari I could modify the metadata.
