How can I add a drop down menu dynamically in the Fitnesse? - fitnesse

I want to embeded a drop down menu in my fitnesse page. The drop down menu should be created at the time of loading of web page. Is there any way we can embeded a HTML tags in fitnesse and create a drop down list.

Fitness wiki tables get translated into FIT tables. Even if you could add a dropdown (which I do not believe is possible). The converter would not know what to do with it and FIT (or SLIM) would not know how to parse it.

Recommended way to do the search and populating the grid in ASP.NET Core MVC 6

I am creating a project where I need to create a view with search textboxes and a dropdown which would be populated from the server. Same view also have a grid which would be populated based on the search criteria enter/selected by user.
I want to know what would be the design of the page in terms of showing both on same page. Should I create a partial view for the grid or Search panel or add both in the single view?
Note that dropdown list would need to be populated from the ViewModel. So what is the common practice in the situation. I am new to this I have done few pages but with lot of code, session and ViewBags and I think I am not following recommended practice.
Actually, the design for your web application is according to your requirement.
For example, if you want grid to work with other datasource or view, you could build it as a component, then if you want to use it, you could directly use this component to avoid write the same codes for multiple time.
If you want to use same grid to show in some other page, you could build it a partial view, then you could directly call this view to show something.

Filter data from Umbraco backoffice listview

I've a page called Page where I'll add some blocks called a PageBlock. This two are both document types. Under the Page you could create Pageblocks and Pages. Inside my listview on the backoffice, I'll only show the Pages. In the content three, I'll only show the Pages.
How could I do that?
I've tried to find a filter but nothing found and I wouldn't write a plugin. I'm using Umbraco 7.6
Update: I know how to create an listview but how could I make a filter to show only the childeren of one document type?
I don't know if I understand the question correctly, but I think what you want to do is set the permission of Pages to allow Pageblocks as its children (On the permissions tab of Pages)
Now if you want to display the children of Pages as a listview go to List view (top right) of Pages and enable Yes - Enable list view
If you want to both be able to view children in the tree and in a listview, you can leave the above option unchecked and add a List View property to the Pages documenttype (as displayed in your screenshot)

Is there a way navigate directly to a section in an Orbeon form?

This would save loads of time when testing a specfic section which is far down the form and the form is configured in a Wizard View.
I just wondered whether there is a querystring parameter or xpath setting to put in xforms-inspector which will save us endless clicks on the Next button! So far the best way I have found is to disable the Wizard View so that the form shows vertically.
This isn't currently supported, but it sounds like a worthwhile feature to have, and I've created an RFE for this feature.
I don't understand why you have to click next all the time, you should be able to just click on the section name in the table of contents.

How to navigate page with Vaadin menubar?

These are my first steps with java, I took grails and vaadin plugin. I want to make simple app with menu bar navigation, so I have got some Vaadin example:
http://demo.vaadin.com/sampler-for-vaadin6#BasicMenuBar
created some commands:
edit.addItem("Cut1", menuCommand1);
edit.addItem("Cut1", menuCommand1);
Each command just draw table from another example:
http://demo.vaadin.com/sampler-for-vaadin6#TableHeaderIcons
Unfortunately each time I hit menu item it draws one table under another table, but what I was expecting is to draw each table in place of previous one.
How to achieve this?
vaadin's UI is stored as state (in a session) on the server. if you add several items they stay unless removed. so e.g. if you want to replace the table there you two options. either removeAllComponents and then add the new one or if you have hold of the original table then you can replaceComponent in the wrapping layout (most likely a VerticalLayout?).
if the table is just supposed to change content, then you are better off to just change/modifiy the dataSource of the table.

Adding multipage printing to Windows 8 ListView App

I have an app with a ListView showing a list of summary items.
I've added print support, but I'm stuck on splitting my content into different pages.
I can add multiple pages, but I don't know how to split my content into pages based on page size.
Currently I have a xaml user control for my print content with a bound ItemsControl in it. I'd either like to bind to a list of just the items that will fit on the page, or move the top visible item position up based on the page number.
I'm not sure which is the best approach and I'm not sure how to do either.
The only paging example I could find in the docs was for a rich text block, which relies on the RichTextBlockOverflow control. I don't think that will help me.
