Pixel perfect (firebug addon) alternative - firefox-addon

I've been using pixel perfect for quite a long time, and grown to love it (despite it's annoyances). Now, when pp is no longer compatibile with fx 6, I'm looking for a tool to replace it.
I found x-precise and am one step from buying it, but I don't quite like the necessity to include something in source page.
I know that I can do it myself, maybe not as good as xprecise or pp, but I just don't have time right now.
I'm curious to know what do you use? Or do you stick to old fx, just to use pixel-prefect?

I have been working for 3 years as a developer and created my own script for pixel perfect mode. http://jek-fdrv.16mb.com/pixp/

In Chrome, try PerfectPixel
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dkaagdgjmgdmbnecmcefdhjekcoceebi

I haven't managed to add a layer in PixelPerfect under any of last Firefox ..27.x.x builds - checkbox is locked. I tried PP versions older than 1.8 it didn't help. I tried to find a decent alternative and failed. Eventually I simply wrote a bookmarklet that provides a similar service http://dsheiko.github.io/pixel-perfect-bookmarklet/.

Pixel Perfect 2 for Firefox native developer tools is available:

Honza

Using the "Compatibility Reporter" seems to work for me so far. The only issue I recognized is a needed reload of the page, to see recently added overlays in the pixel-perfect list.

Just change line 15 in install.rfd file to
<em:maxVersion>10.0.*</em:maxVersion>
Also there are little issue with left position. To fix it change file panelAction.js at line 108 to
this.setPrefValue("pixelPerfect.lastXPos", this.findPixelPerfectXPos(overlayDivId) + 1);
at line 355 to
xPos += 1;this.updatePanelDisplayOfXAndY(xPos, yPos);
After adding new overlay just refresh page or reopen firebug

cyBrowser for cytoscape can't loading any graph plots

I have any problem with cytoscape, actually cyBrowser. It doesn't work correct.
There are 3 different shapes:
I actually work at my windows 10 PC and cyBrowser during create any graph plots (specifically heat map) isn't loading (I can see 100% processing, but but nothing happens);
In addition I use MacOS PC on work and and everything is fine there;
Actually I use MacAir and I have problem with cytoscape work when I use cy browser - it's just crushing
If you can help me, I will be extremely grateful
OK, there are a couple of quick work-arounds. First, when you create your plots, you should see an html file in your home directory. This is created by cyPlot when you request the plot to be created as a debugging aid. You should just be able to open that in any browser and you'll have your plot. Second, you should be able to disable the use of cyBrowser and use a native browser instead, although certain things won't work (e.g. selection in the browser won't be reflected in Cytoscape). To do this, go to Edit->Preferences->Properties and look for "useCyBrowser" and set that to false.

Appcelerator Titanium Webview rendering issue loading local HTML files

in my app I use webview with many local HTML files. When the app is running over Android version 4.4.X or newer, the performance of scroll worsened and the text selection ceased to function properly. Looking for a solution, I saw that to solve this problem the Appcelerator docs recommend to set borderRadius property to a value greater than zero (the problem is associated with rendering on Chromium). Indeed, when I set borderRadius to 1, the scrolling performance is better and the text selection works well, but the quality of text (pixel) worsened and the users are complaining rightly. I'm using Titanium SDK 5.0.2GA and 23 platform API. I tried too using 5.2.2GA and 5.3.1GA but with the same results. I spent many hours to find a solution but without success. Please, someone can help me? I have been desperate. Many thanks in advance.
I found the problem and solution. In tiapp.xml, in the tag manifest, there were parameter android:anyDensity with value to "false". When I changed to "true", the scroll of webviews became very quick. In other hand, I needed to change all app's interface because this change caused change of all UI reference. But, after many hours of adjusts, finally the app is OK. Thanks.

Why does the angular-material `Getting Started` example not actually work?

Is it just me, or is the angular-material "Getting Started" example broken?
On that page (link above), there's an inline codepen to show using angular-material. But the demo doesn't work! (In particular, I don't see a button to collapse the sidebar.)
Since I used this example in my started project, I spent quite some time troubleshooting it -- to no avail. Then, I realized the example itself it may be broken. And sure 'nuff, it is!
Does anyone know what the actual bug is, so I can work around it on my test app? It must have worked at some time; but I can't figure out why it's broken now.
Thanks!
That particular pen is working fine for me but I have noticed a few are not working, and it's due to the angular-material.js link being incorrect in the dependencies (under the pen's settings) the link provided redirects to the CSS.
This is intentional - the sidebar only becomes collapsable on smaller screens and is open on larger screens. Shrinking your browser window will show the collapse button.
That being said, the Getting Started page is definitely in need of an update. It is a good guide for a basic page structure, but the individual demo pages will be a lot better if you're looking to try out some of the components. (Every demo has a CodePen link to open an editable version.)

How to use component from the old indy9 package

I have upgraded Indy9 to Indy10 in Delphi7. Took some time for me to change all the parts with TCP servers and clients but seems like it works nice now.
Now, i noticed one part is still not working, and thats idHTTPserver component.
Our applications web page is using a mootools library. With Indy9 idHTTPserver it works perfectly, however Indy10 does something, which makes browsers fail to display the page.
Besides some other errors, there is this nonsense error like (Firefox Error console output):
Timestamp: 2013.08.07 13:13:56
Error: SyntaxError: missing ] after element list
Source File: http://192.168.100.2:8780/lib/ui/core/mootools-1.2.4-more-yc.js
Line: 103, Column: 60
Source Code:
unction(){var b=["C?","C ","C","C?","C,","C¢","Cƒ","C£","C"","C¤","C.","C?","Ä,","ă","Ä"","Ä.","Ä?","Ä?","ÄŒ","Ĩ","C?
-------------------------------------------------------------^
The actual source code inside this .js is:
long long text ....... function(){var b=["C?","C ","C","C?","C,","C¢","Cƒ","C£","C"","C¤","C.","C?","Ä,","ă","Ä"","Ä.","Ä?","Ä?","ÄŒ","Ĩ","C?","C§","Ä?","ĸ","Ä","Ä'","Cˆ","CØ","C?","C©","CŠ","CR","C<","C«","Äš","Ä>","Ę","ÄT","Ä?","ÄŸ","CŒ","C¬","C¨","C","C?","C®","C¸","CÆ","Ĺ","Är","Ľ","ľ","Å","Å,","C'","C±","Å?","ň","Ń","Å"","C'","C²","C"","C³","C"","C´","C.","Cµ","C-","C¶","C˜","Cø","Å'","Ř","ÅT","Å"","Å.","Å ","Å?","Å?","ÅŸ","Åš","Å>","Ť","Å?","Ť","Å?","Å¢","Å£","CT","C¹","Cš","Cr","C>","C»","Cœ","C¼","Å®","ÅÆ","Åø","Cæ","C½","C¯","Ž","ž","Ź","År","Å»","ż","C?","C¾","C","C°","CŸ","Å'","Å"","C?","C¦","Aµ"]; ................ long long text
What is happening here?
I took a deep breathe and thought, hey i could just use the old version of idHTTPserver as i still have the source files of Indy9 in the other folder.
If nobody knows how to fix the indy10 HTTPserver, could somebody please tell me how do i use the old version? Just the HTTPserver component (which surely links with 10s of other old indy files).
I tried to include the old sources, but it was becoming a mess, because it would use the idHTTPserver.pas from old version, yet idCustomHTTPserver.pas (this is what happens after i follow the uses of idHTTPserver.pas file) from new version...
To use a different Indy version in one project, set the project search path to Indy\Lib\Core, \Protocols and \System, and instantiate all components in code.
This also has the advantage that you can avoid the uninstall / install steps to switch between different Indy 10 versions.
While this is not the direct answer to my own question in title, this did solve my problem.
I followed the function HTTPserver.WriteContent which led into idHTTPServer.pas, then compared idHTTPServer.pas files of Indy9 and Indy10, the parts about encoding in Indy10 caught my attention.
At line 2039 i have removed the second argument of the write function
FConnection.IOHandler.Write(ContentText, CharsetToEncoding(CharSet));
replaced with
FConnection.IOHandler.Write(ContentText);
This solved my problem. Everything works fine now.
The main problem here was, as commenters have noticed, the extra " symbols.
I was quite stupid because i clicked the link in the firefox console and it opened the javascript file which was of wrong version and for some reason i thought this was what it was supposed to be. Only a bit later i decided to check the actual file on my PC and it turned out that "C"" was not even C, the actual text is this
var b=["À","à","Á","á","Â","â","Ã","ã","Ä","ä","Å","å","Ă","ă","Ą","ą","Ć","ć","Č","č","Ç","ç","Ď","ď","Đ","đ","È","è","É","é","Ê","ê","Ë","ë","Ě","ě","Ę","ę","Ğ","ğ","Ì","ì","Í","í","Î","î","Ï","ï","Ĺ","ĺ","Ľ","ľ","Ł","ł","Ñ","ñ","Ň","ň","Ń","ń","Ò","ò","Ó","ó","Ô","ô","Õ","õ","Ö","ö","Ø","ø","ő","Ř","ř","Ŕ","ŕ","Š","š","Ş","ş","Ś","ś","Ť","ť","Ť","ť","Ţ","ţ","Ù","ù","Ú","ú","Û","û","Ü","ü","Ů","ů","Ÿ","ÿ","ý","Ý","Ž","ž","Ź","ź","Ż","ż","Þ","þ","Ð","ð","ß","Œ","œ","Æ","æ","µ"];
So, i was right. When the whole text goes through CharsetToEncoding, it translates all these single symbol characters into 2 symbols.
I will not accept my own answer as it doesnt really answer the title question and i would love to know if its possible to use a single component of older version while the rest are newer.

"Rubber band" events on phonegap app

I'm working on an iOS app using Phonegap/ Cordova and jQuery Mobile.
I want to be able to refresh the data when the user pulls the page down (rubber band effect). I tried using iScroll 4 but it made scrolling my page slow.
I didn't find a phonegap plugin for this. I thought this was a pretty standard iOS feature so maybe I am missing something? Is there any easy way to listen to the pull down event using phonegap / cordova?
Thanks!
Adding this line into CDVViewController.m (Cordova 2.0 or later) is said to work but I've actually never tried it myself as I'm still using iScroll 4. Give it a shot and let me know how it worked for you.
[webView.scrollView setDecelerationRate:UIScrollViewDecelerationRateNormal];
Likewise, however somewhat irrelevant to this matter, the code snippet below is said to reduce the on click delay from 300 ms which is also something phonegap developers usually want. Neither this nor the line above has been properly tested but perhaps a good way to start off.
[webView.scrollView setDelaysContentTouches:NO];
