Suggestion for application distribution model - ipad

I am developing an iPad app that is designed to be released to private syndication clients. It is a replacement for an e-mail newsletter we produce and product management is exploring how to make the experience more dynamic and customizable for the end user. We are debating whether the app should be iOS native or a web app. Initially I was leaning towards native app but after some thought I realized Apple has no method that would allow us to distribute the app effectively anyway. An enterprise solution wouldn't work, as our end users would be from various outside companies. What we need is more of a private application that could only be downloaded with a pass code or log-in. I also considered having an app that is available in the App store but requires you to log-in before any content is displayed, but I don't think Apple would approve and release an app with that type of functionality. At this point I am thinking a web app is the only way to go for us. Anyone have any experience with this type of issue or any comments/suggestions?
Thanks for any input.

I found you can submit apps that only certain people can access, so native app will work. Probably obvious to others, but I wasn't certain on it.

Is it OK to deploy a private app on Apple Business Manager and the same app as an unlisted App on App Store?

We have multiple clients that we wish to provide our software to.
After much research, it is clear that the Apple Business Manager (ABM) is the logical way forward. However we currently have one client that does not have ABM and has no intention of getting it until sometime in the future. As a result, we are forced to look at alternatives.
We have decided to go down the unlisted app route. In that, we will create a custom unlisted app through direct link. My assumption is that this will end up on the app store and will be available to them via a shared link.
My question is - is it ok for us to have an unlisted app as well as the same app on ABM (for our other clients) ?
This would mean that we have two apps to look after, one on App store connect and one on ABM? Both are identical apps so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I am just worried that A) Apple wont like this and B) One app may interfere with another app.
Any advice greatly appreciated :)
Thanks!

Can an iOS app be available to public but on a limited basis?

One of my clients needs an app that can be visible to anyone on the app store but not necessarily accessed by anyone? For example: It can be accessed by only those people who are attending a seminar or meeting.
How can we achieve this? Any idea or suggestions.
Is there a way to create this kind of app with restricted access?
Have you seen any app like this on Apple Store? if yes, please provide app name or link.
Will Apple approve this kind of application?
You can't put it in the app store and limit it to only certain people. If it's in the store, it can be downloaded by anyone who has access to the store. There are a couple of possibilities that might work, though:
If you have (or can get) an enterprise license, you can distribute the app yourself outside of the app store. It won't be in the app store, but you can restrict access.
Put the app in the app store but require login credentials to access some or all of the app's functionality. A common approach is that without logging in, people can see whatever is on the event's public web site. Attendee-only features require login. Of course this adds the complexity of managing logins. You would probably need to provide Apple with login credentials during app submission.

Develop app only to be used for in app purchases?

I am developing a free app about marine life conservation. I am working with a foundation to help them raise money. I have an paid app in the iOS store now. While i am certain of the answer, i would like to ask and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.
Is it possible to create an app that is only available via an in app purchase? I would like of offer my app with the foundations' logos throughout the app, instead of my own, but i do not want this special app to be readily available on it's own.
Possible via any creative measures?
An interesting problem, a possible solution could be:
You will have your existing application with the in-app purchases that will give the user either a promo code or a deep link to your other application.
The other application will be essentially empty if someone random opens it, then will 'unlock' when a user has a code/link opens it.
If you did want to try the deep-linking, i've used Branch before that is quite easy to use. Link: https://branch.io

publishing a mobile application with Marketing content on App Store

I'm developping a mobile app that is simply a presentation of a product (what it is for? how to use it? and other details). It's meant for the commercials to present the product in a more comfortable way than a simple pdf to a client.
I've read recently that the apple team doesn't allow to publish on the app store apps with only marketing content.
Do you think I would have problems when publishing the app? Do you have a clue how I can solve the problem ?
(1) Sure, it would probably be rejected
(2) Depending on your needs -- the solution is simple, make an "enterprise app" which is sort of a private app for your company.
You can find 1000s of QA on here about enterprise apps.

Which way to distribute iPad app

We're a small company and have developed an iPad app we would like to give to our customers. I've read through the B2B option but don't like our customers having to register their DUN info with Apple.
Should I just load it in the App store and put in the description that it's a private App? It requires a login so it doesn't matter if other folks download it.
Currently, we're using it in house via the internal tester scenario.
No one but Apple can say for certain what Apple will do in any specific case, but your description suggests it will be rejected.
From Apple's App Review Guidelines (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/):
17.2: Apps that require users to share personal information, such as email address and date of birth, in order to function will be rejected
If you don't have a base functionality that applies to the general public, you will, in all likelihood, need to go Enterprise delivery.
Distributing publicly might be the best option, but I don't think you would get an approval if you describe it as a private app in your description.
Without knowing too much about your business or the nature of your app, it's hard to suggest, but possibly you could add some public usefulness on the front-end of your app, even if that's business info, contact information, a news feed, etc... with the real intent of the app being tucked behind a login portal. (all total speculation).
Distributing the app outside of the app store has a lot of limitations as well: http://mobiledan.net/2012/03/02/5-options-for-distributing-ios-apps-to-a-limited-audience-legally/
I would just submit to the app store and see what happens. Apple may reject it, but that is true in any case. I have an app of this nature, submitted with a couple of test accounts, no problem getting it approved. When the app launches, it pops a logon screen, and has a short message about where to get an account (which won't make much sense to people not in the intended audience).
