We are working with an ATMEL 91 SAM board. Using this embedded system we are able to print to an HP DeskJet 1000 series j110. The problem is we are not able to print more than one document. I.e, the first print job always works, but if we try to print a second time, then it won't print. The embedded system shows that the printing is done, but the printer does not print. Can anyone tell me the reason for this?
Thanx in advance

Despite, as marto says, the lack of information in this question, I will have a go.
If you find that you are sending sets of data to a printer and it prints out the first but then ignores subsequent sets, this would imply a problem in the termination of the first set or in the start of subsequent sets.
Are you sure that the first printout is completing correctly? If there is some data left/corruption to the data at the end of the first print job then the printer could be left looking for this final end of data before starting the next job. The embedded controller will send the data quite happily but the printer will just ignore it.
The same could be true for a mal-formed start to the next job.
Look at the data being sent and manually decode it against the printer control language specification. Not rocket science, but then driving a printer shouldn't be.

I need to add unlockables to my application, but the problem is that I don't want to have to send out an update every time that I want to add something new. I have read a bit about servers and JSON and XML. I just wanted to check to see if anybody else had a better idea?
If you are talking about something like a logo change then, short of an app update, the only option you have is getting it from an outside source such as a server transmission. But now you are talking about in-app purchases which, if you have not already, should read up on.

Server based image and/or text transmissions are easily done and if I understand your last comment correctly, these updates would not be very frequent anyway.

I'm about to start development of an application with Ruby on Rails, which requires to print stuff, mostly tickets.
I'm guessing the printer I use won't have much impact.
So the question is, what are the different things I should take into consideration with the printing? I'm thinking a normal ruby program should have communication with a printer.
The most portable solution here is for your Rails application to emit a PDF and then hand that off to either the browser for rendering and printing, or to inject it into a local print spooler.
There are a number of ways to get PDF out of Ruby depending on your requirements. The easiest method is to render HTML and use a library to convert it to PDF like PDFKit. A method with more control is one where you draw out the document using a library like Prawn.

I've seen many posts saying it's not possible.
However it is very strange to me that it's possible to jailbreak the phone (which makes Apple lose money), possible to send texts or get requests with xcode (which is potential spamming), but not possible to read texts.
Did any one of you try to do this and succeeded?
After all, iPhone does read the SMS'es, so data is somewhere in there, it's just the matter of getting it out.
Would really appreciate any thoughts about this.
The question is:
How do I get Content of all text messages on the iPhone?
It most certainly is possible. Since the Jailbreak tag was applied to your question, I assume you're ok with writing an app that requires a jailbroken phone, and won't be submitted to the iTunes App Store.
If so, look at my answer to this other question recently. See the mostRecentSMS method I posted. That only reads the newest SMS, but if you simply modify my sqlite code to loop over all messages (rows), you can get whatever SMS content you want.
(e.g. uncomment the while loop I show there: while (sqlite3_step(statement) == SQLITE_ROW) instead of using the if statement)

I just started learning Erlang. My task to write a simple script for testing web applications. I hasn't found work script in the Internet, and Tsung too bulky for such a task. Is anyone can help me (give working example of script or link where I can found it)?
What would be possible to specify a URL, and concurrency, and time of testing and get the results. Thanks.
This links not help:

(not working, function example/0 undefined )
http://www.metabrew.com/article/a-million-user-comet-application-with-mochiweb-part-1
(work for socket, but I need concurrent testing)
I use for such purposes basho bench. It not so hard to start with it and add your own cases. Also it contains script, which draw all results.
Would like to build one? I would not recommend that way (because I have tried and there are so many things to consider to build one, especially spawning many processes and collecting the result back)
As you already know, I would recommend tsung, although it is bulky, it is a full load test application. I have gave up mine, and went back to tsung because could not properly handle opening/closing sockets with too many processes.
If you really want a simple one, I would use httperf. AFAKI, it works fine with single machine with multiple processes.

Why to restrict allowed usernames by different rules? For example why can't user have "#123 qw" username? Is there any techical difficulties or it's just about community rules?
Also is it ok to have national characters in the username? If I use "UTF-8" encoding for my website it should work just well in all browsers.
Username within a system is most of the time for the consumption of HUMANS therefore, from usability point of view it should be READABLE
And yes you can use your national characters in username and make sure you understand character encoding , storage and retrieval. You system/application should be ready to consume the selected encoding at every level e.g client-side, server-side and at database end and tools you use to manipulate with each tier e.g IDEs etc ..
So from my point of view you need some extra knowledge and efforts to handle such a system without killing Usability
I believe I can give you more than one reason but the first that comes off my head is this one.
