I've a page with a jcarousel, the carousel contains n items linked to other pages.
I'm trying to keep on focus the clicked item also in the new page.
Thanks in advance

I've a page called Page where I'll add some blocks called a PageBlock. This two are both document types. Under the Page you could create Pageblocks and Pages. Inside my listview on the backoffice, I'll only show the Pages. In the content three, I'll only show the Pages.
How could I do that?
I've tried to find a filter but nothing found and I wouldn't write a plugin. I'm using Umbraco 7.6
Update: I know how to create an listview but how could I make a filter to show only the childeren of one document type?
I don't know if I understand the question correctly, but I think what you want to do is set the permission of Pages to allow Pageblocks as its children (On the permissions tab of Pages)
Now if you want to display the children of Pages as a listview go to List view (top right) of Pages and enable Yes - Enable list view
If you want to both be able to view children in the tree and in a listview, you can leave the above option unchecked and add a List View property to the Pages documenttype (as displayed in your screenshot)
I am trying to make an accordion list view. When I click the parent folder list item, I want my parent list to be expanded. On clicking again, the list should collapse.
Josh Pucket made an example available in the FB group that should help you get started:

Basically, you need arrays and you always check on other elements if they need to be updated ( either moved / expanded or collapsed )
hope this helps!
In my application, I have a menu that is defined as follows. Each item on the menu is a node that has the following data attributes:
MenuText : (the text that would appear for that item)
isView : Whether this item is a leaf level item or not
subMenus : if isView is false, then there are multiple menu items under this attribute.
Thus, it is a tree structure that can go till any depth. The items in the menu can change periodically and hence the implementation has to be kept flexible. This data is stored in a plist file and read into an NSArray in the code (already implemented).
I now need to create a slide out menu on the left that will be populated by this data hierarchy. I have created the menu pane and added swipe gestures to it, all of which work fine. The menu has to be a collapsible one where clicking on one menu item expands the subViews below it. If the item clicked on is a view, then a new view is loaded on the rest of the screen with appropriate data.
The problem I am facing is the logic to populate the menu (which is a UITableView) from the NSArray data. The following are the two approaches I came up with.
Create a UITableView with as many sections as there are items at the top level of the menu. Then iterate through the menu items recursively. For each menu item that is not a view (i.e. it has subMenus), create a new section with number of rows equal to the number of subMenus under it. When I come across a menu item that is a view and has no further subMenus, add it as a row to the subsection created for the menu one level above it.
Create a menu with one section and as many rows as the number of menu items at the top level. When a menu item is clicked, insert rows under it to represent its sub-menus. When another menu item on the same level is clicked, collapse the previously expanded menu by deleting the inserted rows. When a menu item with no sub menus is clicked, the rest of the screen is populated with data.
I have tried both the approaches and not been able to go beyond the initial steps. For the first method, I understand that I need to add a UITableView as a part of UITableViewCells, which is good, but I need to do that recursively. For the second approach, I need to know the indexPath of each item clicked which can go to many levels.
I would like some suggestions here about which approach I should take and some guidance over how to go about it. Also, if there is any better way to do this, kindly advice. Thanks.
In my opinion, using UINavigationController is the easiest way. You can push as many UITableViews as you want.
If it doesn't fit your design requirement, you can try expandable UITableViews. There are few open sources:
JKExpandTableView
SDNestedTable
iOS-Tree-Component
Thanks for the responses. I ended up doing this using the following control:
Accordion for iOS
It has served my purpose beautifully and I posted it here so that someone with the same requirement may find it.
Take a look at TLIndexPathTools. It has a "Tree" extension that can do this. Try running the Outline sample project. The main task in adapting the sample project would be to write a recursive function to convert your array of nodes into an array of TLIndexPathTreeItem objects. All of the code in the controller:willChangeNode: method is examples of lazy loading and it doesn't sound like you'd need any of that.
So I have a listview with multiple items, so when each item is clicked it will go to a detail page, but how do I fill out the detail view with dynamic contents? Specifically, how do I capture the key, which is the clicked item's inner html, and when I query some dynamic contents, how do I put them in the detail view? The methods I tried include 1) use click event for each item, but the event does not trigger, is that normal? 2) I tried the live event on the detail view page with pagebeforeshow, but it does not trigger either. Please help.
Many approaches exist to do this. Here is one idea that may help you:
In your listview, specify a data ID for each of the hyperlinks in the list item. The definitions could look like:
<li><a data-id="some-identifier">My Title</a></li>
For all the items the <li> items in the list, you then have a single click handler, which would use the data-id to initialize the detail page. The click handler would look something like this (my apologies if this is out of data, I have not recently used jQuery Mobile, so there may be an updated, better approach):
$('#my-listview-id').delegate('a', 'vclick', function () {
alert ('user selected something: ' + $(this).attr('data-id'));
});
The alert will show you the ID the user selected. So in the click handler you can update the detail page.
I've seen in Joomla documentation the way to detect if you are in Frontpage while creating a template in Joomla 2.5. This is the code:
<?php
$app = JFactory::getApplication();
$menu = $app->getMenu();
if ($menu->getActive() == $menu->getDefault()) {
echo 'This is the front page';
}
?>
This works when you are at home page (or clicking on Home menu), but I have an slider in home page, and I link in the slider to an article which is not in any menu item in the application. When I load this article the code above returns as I were at frontpage. I guess that if I doesn't click on any menu item, $menu->getActive() doesn't change.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
You can do one thing to solve this problem. Create a hidden menu of all the article links which are linked in the sliders.By creating hidden menu the link will be initialized and $menu->getActive() will work for all the links..Hopefully it will works for you .
I wish to add to the present answer and provide some clarifications.
In order for the menu selection to be detected the page requires to be assigned to a menu item. If this is a hidden menu than the link to such a page called My Page would be:
/index.php/my-page - “my-page” is the menu title alias for this item
However, if one wants to show the correct hierarchy in the breadcrumbs for the same page, then the menu hierarchy would have to be replicated in the hidden menu.
For example if My Page is under My Articles main menu item, then in the hidden menu you should add “My Articles” item, of the type: Menu Item Alias, which is in the Systems submenu of the menu type field. The My Page item should be a sub-menu item of My Articles.
The “My Articles” menu item in the hidden menu must have a different menu alias than the same one in the main menu hence the new link to My Page would look like:
/index.php/my-articles2/my-page
To create a hidden menu, one simply creates another menu. It does not matter whether one creates a module for it or not, but if one does then one just should not assign any position to that module.
