I am not able to fetch phone number of restaurant using Zomato API. Do we need to Partner with Zomato then only it will provide such details. I also want restaurant other details such as its website(if any provided).
The partner access is required to fetch restaurant's phone numbers whereas the restaurant's website information is not yet supported by the Zomato API for both basic and partner users. Find out the supported data – https://developers.zomato.com/documentation#!/restaurant/restaurant_0

I need the Youtube API key from a client just to populate a link list of their recent videos.
The client expressed they have one account with multiple youtube channels attached to the one google account. For security they are asking if the API can be restricted to one youtube channel. I just fetched the data and displayed it im not a youtube API expert so i am unsure how to direct them. They want the key they provide to only allow data fetched from the specific channel? Is that possible in the API settings when creating the key?
(google search was unhelpful and the docs didnt really mention multiple channels)
Thanks for any insight.
Api keys are only able to access public data. For example public videos uploaded to youtube.
If you want to access private user data then you are going to need to use Oauth2 and authorize the user.
How you authorize the user depends upon which language you are using. You should consult the documentation Authentication
When you authorize a user then will be able to pick which channel to grant you access to. This will give you an access token that you can use to access the data on that channel.
I am currently working on an iOS-App where Instagram users can fetch their data, such as profile information and images and will be able to post. There are similar apps like Flume (https://flumeapp.com/) which are capable of accessing those features. I already managed to get the access token and fetch the basic user information.
As the Instagram Legacy API will be shut down soon, I am wondering how to fetch detailed user information, as the Basic Display API only lists fields for account type, id, username and media count (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-basic-display-api/reference/user#fields).
In both the Basic Display API as well as the Graph API it says that creating media is not supported.
Can anyone tell me how other apps (like Flume) are able to perform those actions? Are they perhaps still using the Instagram Legacy API?
Thanks!
Is there a way to find the top X YouTube accounts by subscriber count for Y year---say, the top 100 accounts in 2015? I don't see anything in the API docs, and while there are services like SocialBlade and VidStatsX, they don't provide archived lists, and the data is not captured on archive.org.
The standard Analytics API doesn't provide this functionality. You can get data about views, likes, and dislikes, but you must provide one or more channel IDs.
Required Parameters: ids
Identifies the YouTube channel or content owner for which you are
retrieving YouTube Analytics data.
To request data for a YouTube
channel, set the ids parameter value to either channel==MINE or
channel==CHANNEL_ID, where CHANNEL_ID identifies the currently
authenticated user's YouTube channel.
To request data for a YouTube
CMS content owner, set the ids parameter value to
contentOwner==OWNER_NAME, where OWNER_NAME is the CMS user ID for the
user.
Use the Try this API section on the reference page to test the possibilities.
I need your suggestion regarding which Paypal API to use for my following requirement:
I am developing a application for Order management & Shipping in which I need to fetch order details like Billing & Shipping Address information + Item/product details + Billing amount etc on behalf of various merchants.
I will be fetching the data in two ways:
1. Initial onetime fetch to get all orders till date.
2. Regular fetch to get new orders.
Can you please suggest which API calls will get me the required data?
So, I have found a solution for this through Paypal forum & API docs. Wanted to add the solution here so that it is helpful to other stackoverflow folks.
To lookup what transactions took place I can use the TransactionSearch API, say with the date range.
To get details of a particular transaction I can use GetTransactionDetails API.
Since I have to do it on behalf of various merchants, I can use the Paypal Permissions API to allow merchants to authenticate me for making API calls on there behalf.
I am able to extract tweets, and the submitter's user details using the streaming API, but I also need the list of followers and friends of users posting these tweets.
I am aware that Twitter search API has the friends/ids and followers/ids functions through which one can get the public followers and friends list one user at a time.
But, my data collection requires getting this information for all the users whose tweets I have collected, around 20,000+ users. This is quite exhaustive given the high number of users, and the limitation of one user per call. Moreover, I need to refresh this list for each of these 20,000+ users preferably once a day to observe changes in their friends and followers (if any).
IS there any I can achieve this using the Twitter Streaming API or any other method. Or I have to apply for the Twitter commercial data license?
Thanks!!!
20,000 is way beyond the limits of any normal Twitter API method. I think your going to have to apply for a commercial license to go that high. The streaming API, I believe, tracks 400 keywords and 5000 users max. Your right in that the REST twitter API method only allows you to track one user or a list of ID's. You can take a look at the Twitter Counter API which mines additional info including information about followers, etc. But again, 20,000 I'm sure would be above the limits. Communicate with Twitter, Gnip and, and the Twitter Counter service to see what they can do for you.
