I was wondering if it is possible to change the icon of an iOS app without recompiling it every single time. I would like to create a personal app where I can change the icon very easily.
There is a new API that was announced with iOS 10.3 that can help you with this, otherwise, it is not possible. Here is some sample code on how to use it: https://github.com/steventroughtonsmith/AlternateIconTest

I would like to know if it is possible to launch an app on iOS that is currently in the back group using three taps for example ? Think of it as a short cut on a desktop app.
Thanks
No!
That is not possible. There is no way to open one specific app on some combination of touches.
You can however open other apps from your app using url schemes, but something like that is not supported across the entire OS and of course not supported on the springboard. (see the apple docs)
I am trying to add an open source ios app written in objective-c to my ios app. What would be the best way to do that? Shall I use multiple story board or I is there any other way I can do that?
Is it possible to change an app logo (on the home screen) without updating the app?
This is from the view of an iOS developer. I got the idea from seeing how the New Yorker newspaper can change their app image without updating the app. Can I do this for a normal app? Is this solely for newstand apps?
Sadly, this is only available to Newsstand apps.
You're correct in that this is solely a newsstand feature for the reason being that content within those applications will change regularly (without requiring a change in the architecture of the application) and provides another way to notify or entice the user to open it again.
I want to develop app using baker framework, but I don't want to open my app in newsstand.
I want to open my app as regular app.
In baker framework demo I added property in Plist Application presents content in Newsstand equals to NO.
Now my app is open as regular app, but the problem is downloading issue is not working, could anyone help me out what i need to do for that.
there is a lot more about this than just changing the plist. The whole download infrastructure in the Baker framework is built around Newsstand. If you disable Newsstand, this stops working.
I want to make an app that won't be released on the App Store. I want this app to open siri through private API's, basically inject a home button press and hold into the events queue. I have tried using GSEvent(GSSendEvent - Inject Touch Event iOS), but it no longer works(it silently fails) after iOS 7. I believe it is possible through SBUIController but I can't figure how to use SBUIController in iOS 8. To be clear, I want to do this on a non-jailbroken phone.
How can I go about doing this in iOS 8?
Thanks
You should check out the runtime headers of all the private/public apis here.
I found a method hidden in accessibility, which could possibly work in your case. Have a look at it here: http://git.io/frK6Sw . The method is named -(void)openSiri, which suggest that it might open Siri, I haven't tried though.
