How to set image on Apple Watch notification? - ios

Is there any process to set the image on Apple watch notification.?
I have tried adding in the image assets but did not find any clue.

I've noticed that there really is a possibility to embed additional image in notification payload which is displayed by Watch (but not iPhone/iPad).
Somehow Pushover guys managed to do this.
But I don't know how they did it.
If I would get to know this I will post in answer edit.
Maybe you could ask them? (and post your conclusions here)

In order to display an image from a payload (via a URL, I assume) in a notification, you'll need to create a subclass of WKUserNotificationInterfaceController, which Apple provides as a way to display dynamic notifications.
Although originally written for Swift 1.2, the tutorial at this link can show you how this can be done:

iOS Show UIAlert in Safari when using My App's Share Extension

I'm developing a simple content blocker for iOS 9+ devices. Everything seems to be working fine in terms of blocking ad's / trackers etc and I even have the ability to 'whitelist' websites directly from Safari using a Share Extension Action.
My question is when the user taps Action > My Apps Share Extension [which adds it to a list inside the main app] I want to show a simple Alert that says something like 'This site has been added to your whitelist..." for a few seconds and then disappear.
... how do I do this?
**UPDATE I have read all of Apples documentation on this but still can't figure it out. The post here does actually refer to how to design a streamlined UI but doesn't really cover my situation.
Hoping someone will know :-)
Why you don't use Notifications for this , you can have your notification style set to show like an UIAlert. You can see something like that in Calendar app in iOS.
UPDATE:
I did a little bit more digging , it's not possible to change the style programmatically according to this. So the best choice is handling it when your app is in foreground. I can't think of any other OS wide solution other than local notifications.

How do I make a live text feed for announcements in my app? [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:
How to send in-app announcements to people using my iOS app?
(1 answer)
Closed 7 years ago.
I would like to add a text feed to my iOS app. Basically, it would just be an updatable UITextView or UIScrollView that would display announcements/news (not an actual news or RSS feed though) on the home page. I want to be able to update this field remotely from my computer to give it a set number of messages/announcements to display one after another in a loop. I don't want to have to update the app to manually add them in via Xcode. I only know Objective-C.
How would I do this? I can't seem to find any tutorials for it. Maybe I'm just not searching in the right way. Can someone refer me to a guide or tutorial or even just a GitHub project I could implement? Thanks.
Edit: I see that a similar question has been asked after all, but I still don't understand the answer given. I'm still new to coding apps so I don't know how to use "initWithContentsFromURL." The person clearly knew what they were doing and so they did not get further explanation. Are there any good guides on how to implement this? I understand you would need to set up a website to store the data, but I'm not quite sure how you would do that. An example of the whole process of setting up the website to store this data and then retrieve it with the function would be helpful.
Look at push notification APN, there is a good tutorial for how to implement push notification
If the messages will only be displayed while the user is inside the app, there is no need for push notifications (which will also allow you to contact the user when the app is closed). The app can simply check with a remote server for the most updated content that needs to be displayed whenever the user launches the app (or whenever he/she enters the screen, or once a day - depending on how often you plan to update that info).

Sending Image as text message with PhoneGap app

I'm trying to work around the iPhone not having an API in order to send an MMS. I do not want to send a text message from inside the app, I am looking to have it be able to send a text message with an image attached to a certain contact.
I am not very familiar with native iPhone apps so I was going to build the app using PhoneGap and create custom plugins for sending the text message.
The user would find an image/video or something they would want to view on the app, click send to a contact and then normal text message app on the iPhone would pop up with the image already inserted to the body of the message.
Would I be able to write my own plugin for PhoneGap in order to do this operation? If so, what are some good resources to go about learning how to do this?
Thanks, I know this is more of a cry for help on how to do this but after a bunch of research, I can't quite find what I'm exactly looking for.
I have no idea about PhoneGap tbh but I guess where you will fail is this:
Apple did not want you to put photos in the sms app. How do you think you are going to go around this? The only thing I can think of is uploading the image you want to attach to some service like Dropbox and then paste a download link into the sms app.

save text to default Notes app

I am working on app in which there is a textview with save button. On the click of save button I suppose to open the Notes app and save the text on notes. Same as we done to post the sms.
I also go through this given pdf file iPhoneURLScheme_Reference
But didn't find out the way to save the text/open the notes app from the app. If someone has ever done this type of functionality or having some idea please help me out.
Thanks in advance.
I don't expect there to be an URL scheme if it is not present in the PDF you linked to.
I wold expect it to be on this list however.
Looks like you can't do that.
If you consider the URL schemes in Apple's document you will notice that all of the schemes refer to an application the user is expected to interact with immediately (navigating with Maps, making a call,...). All these applications provide something you can't do your own. What would be the benefit of your app if it just allowed the user to write a note once?

Add custom UIActivity for standard apps

dear community,
A simple question but no clear answer yet.
Can I add my button to standard UIActivityController so that when user goes to Photos/Notes/Safari he can also along with twitter/facebook post it to my destination ?
I'm sure I can do that while calling UIActivityViewController from within my app.
And looks like there is a way to do that for mail attachments. Box app can do that here, probably via CFBundleDocumentTypes in plist. But is there a way to do that with e.g. photos?
Hopefully anybody can give me any useful links with examples of such implementation.
Thanks a lot

As of iOS 6, there is no way to add a custom UIActivity item to built-in apps like Photos, Notes, or Safari.
Custom UIActivity items can only be added to third-party apps.
