I've been scouring the interwebs all morning and haven't been able to find a working example of a simple FOLLOW url for linkedin.
I would like to create a button on my social tab which wouldn't only link to the company page but also automatically make you follow it.
The url given by the follow button on the page itself isn't working from another machine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch,
Shay
This is your best option: http://developer.linkedin.com/plugins/follow-company , it does what you need.

SImple question: If I post a link to my website on twitter, the image does not appear even though I checked the link on twitter card validator and the image and the link work well there.

I have searched for "Share Point authentication in iOS" and I have gone through the results but I am unable to properly understand about
What is Share Point Authentication?
What make it different from other authentication methods like oAuth?
And
How to implement Share Point Authentication in iOS?
Thank you in advance.
After a long search and concern to my seniors I found two links using ether way I found my solution. The links are:
1) Using UIWebView
Here I only need to pass an URL to UIWebView. If the URL is openable then Office 365 login view will open on your UIWebView, where you can enter your login credentials. You can find full description with related code at here.
An other solution is
2) Creating your own UI for login
Here you have to design your own UI and full manual code to authenticate. You can find all the required help related to code, I can say full code from here..
If anyone find my question and/or answer useful then please up vote both or ether of the post. Thank you in advance.
I wanted to see if there is a service out there that can dynamically change a URL
Ex. If I wanted someone to go to a landing page like www.handsomeman2015.com/landing2015 and I used a link shortner like bit.ly so I would provide the URL like bit.ly/ag95g and it would direct customers to
But I want to be able to change the URL extension to landing2016, landing2017 etc without changing the web link, is this possible?
Sorry if my question isn't using the correct terminology, as I'm a bit new to this stuff.
Linkredirector is a dynamic URL shortener that lets you change the destination URLs of your links. As long as you register an account you can login and edit your links.
Disclaimer, I work at Linkredirector.
Yourls seems to be an interesting option, if you don't mind installing the service on your own website. Additionally, tiny.cc seems to allow you to change the link through their API.
I am trying to get twitter feeds in to my shopify site. I want to get the feeds and style them as I want and thus cant use a app.
I know how to do it using PHP but can not use that code in shopify and looking for a way I can use OAuth in shopify and get the feeds. I tried the shopify docs but without an example its kinda hard to actually get my head around it.
http://docs.shopify.com/api/tutorials/oauth
Thats the link I am using as a guide. If anyone can direct me to an example which might be similar that would be awesome. (google didnt seem to be that helpful this time either)
Cheers
I know you said you didn't want to use an app, but can I suggest taking a look at Twitify? You can use custom CSS to style your tweets. Also see discussions about Twitify here and here.
Twitter changed their display guidelines and policies on embedding of tweets on websites in June 2013. One of the themes I used for a client earlier in the year had custom styling of tweets, and they have now changed it to use the official Twitter widget to meet the new guidelines. In fact, the images on the Shopify theme store show how it used to look before Twitter changed things:
And after:
I think using an app like Twitify would be the easiest way to deal with these changes to embedding tweets.
Thanx for the suggestion. I did take a look at that before I posted this question. This is a project for a client and I dont think getting a plug in is a viable option. Anyways I found a work around.
Hosted the file on a server and then accessed it. So that resolved the problem. :)
I used node.js to write the script and get the posts as required.
Cheers.
you can use the app for that Twitify https://apps.shopify.com/twitify or you can Embed a Twitter feed in your online store
Go to your Twitter settings.
Click Widgets to open the widgets menu.
Create a new widget, following Twitter's instructions.
Copy the embed code.
I've searched stackoverflow as well as google and can't seem to find a specific enough answer, so I thought I would go ahead and ask it myself!
To provide some background: I am a fairly new rails developer and I've just created a basic app albeit it is lacking some wanted functionality. So far I have integrated Devise, and Omniauth for user login. However, I'd like to have a "pop out window" when users click 'Login' instead of being re-directed to an actual Login page.
If you click on the login button on this website you will see what I am referring to: http://geckodesigns.kinja.com/so-i-bought-a-firetruck-252516685
What sort of Ruby or perhaps Java code would one have to use to implement such functionality?
I look forward to reading your answers!
You could use something like jQuery UI Dialog for this.
Here's the website for jQuery UI. There's also a Rails gem that wraps this library and makes it quite easy to put in your project. You can find that gem on github here.
Suppose you have a login page: html/login.html
In original page:
<a onclick='popupLoginWindow'>Login</a>
JavaScript:
function popupLoginWindow(){
window.open('html/login.html');
}
