I want to use google api for iOS weather api. But I found out that it is down. Even the google awareness app api is available only for android. What to do? Is there a way to use google api for making weather api in iOS ?
No you can not use google weather api for iOS. You can use Yahoo Weather Api

I have enable Google ads api ,and I request for many times last month by google adwords api. Why it doesn't show in the develop console? i just can see several times request for youtube api. Is it because I use Google adwrods api? my project is developed by google adwords api,not google ads api..
develop console
Google Adwords API is not part of the Cloud Developer console. You can't configure it there (apart from setting up an OAuth2 client), and any requests to it won't be visible within the console.
The Google Ads API on the other hand is supported.
I want to implement Google Analytics in my existing native iOS Application which is written in Swift. My Client company hasn't approved Firebase officially, so they're asking me to use Google Analytics only. For this, they provided tracking ID only. When I implement it, using this document https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ios/v3 I receive HTTP Status -1 instead of HTTP 200.
My question is, is it possible to implement GA functionality in native iOS without Google-Analytics.plist file ?? If yes, what's the solution ??
Currently I'm building an iOS application which is having flight search feature and planning to use QPX google api for that but for airport/city code not able to find the api in google service.
Is it possible to use QPX Express api in iOS application because didn't see the way to parse the response.
Here is the link for google flight search "https://www.google.co.in/flights/".Would like to know which api google has been using it for airport/city code search.
Have tried with Google Places API for iOS https://developers.google.com/places/ but don't know the way to get the airport codes.
I plan to have an application to list nearby places in a UITableView with UISearchController combined by Auto-complete feature to filter the result of places and I'm trying to use Google Places API.
I'm confused because I don't know which API should I use:
Google Places API Web Service
or
Google Places API for iOS
I didn't find a way to get a list of places in the Google Places API for iOS documentation.
When to use Google Places API Web Service and when to use Google Places API for iOS ? and what works best in my case (get list of places with pagination and filter by name and category options)
I have already generated an API-KEY for Google Places API for iOS can I still use this key in Google Places API Web Service ?
In general, if developing for iOS, you should prefer the Google Places API for iOS. It is designed to be easier to use and more efficient from iOS than using the Web Service.
However, the Places API for iOS is relatively new, and does not yet have all the features of the Web Service. In this case, you might prefer to use only the Web Service, or to combine the Places API for iOS and the Web Service.
For your particular use case, I would recommend using the Places API for iOS getCurrentPlace functionality + Autocomplete. getCurrentPlace returns a list of places where we believe the device to be located.
If that doesn't meet your needs, you could use nearby search from the Web Service + Autocomplete from the iOS API.
For question #2: You cannot use the same API Key for iOS and Web Services. The former requires an iOS Key, and the latter a Server key. You also need to enable both services in the Google Developers Console.
I’m trying to use Google Directions API. I have the SDK all set up. I have enabled Google Maps SDK for iOS under the Services in the developer console. Below is the URL I've built to get the directions.
There are two types of keys in the developer console.
First I tried with the Key for iOS apps.
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/directions/json?origin=-37.814107,144.96328&destination=-31.953004,115.857469&key=<Key for iOS apps>
But I got the error This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized to use this API key.
When I searched for a solution to this error I saw in a few StackOverflow answers (1, 2) that iOS keys are not supported. In the answers they're talking about the Google Places API but I thought it might be the same case with Directions because the error was the same.
So I replaces the Key for iOS apps with Key for browser apps and ran it again but I got a new error This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure that this API is activated in the APIs Console.
My question is are there any other APIs I have to activate in the Services to get this working? These are the other map related Google APIs in the list.
The API "Google Maps SDK for iOS" - it is only for integrating the "Google Maps SDK"...
If you want to “use” Directions.. you have to “activate” in the Google console: "Directions API” , too developers.google.com/maps/documentation/directions
Happy coding!
Are you using
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/ios/ also there is a nice documentation there.
Yes you need to activate the IOS Maps SDK in the google api center when you log in
