When I edit my application data, I get this message:
Screenshots and app previews for the largest display sizes of your app’s
primary localization must be uploaded directly.
Screenshots for all sizes primary localization are loaded. I've tried to change primary language - result is the same.
This is an ongoing issue, contacted to Apple Support, they tried helping me via remote desktop. No luck. Still waiting for the solution.
Watched the keynote and it works there on stage (of course) but we can't upload 5.5" screenshots.
Tried a lot of "solutions" that came up on other forums, none of them helped rectifying it.
Solution is very simple. You must create new app bundle and submission will work.

I created a view for APP preview in the App store. Here is my configuration in the final cut pro:

But i got this error constantly
Your app preview is in the wrong format. For more information, see the Developer Help.
Then I found this website and I set this configuration there
https://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp4
Video bitrate: 10240
frame rate = 30
Audio Quality = 256
But I got the same error.
Then I bought this app in the Mac App store
https://apps.apple.com/de/app/app-preview-video-converter/id1137451860?l=en&mt=12
But the output video from this app got the same error as well.
I worked many hours on fix this problem, could anyone help me to how to save my app preview video?
It seems theres a bug somewhere in App Store Connect at the moment. Your video format looks good so this must be what you are experiencing.
I am still waiting for it to be fixed and haven't had any success for at bit more than a day now - just checked again.
See related post on apple developer forums here: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/120816
Edit: It seems the error has been fixed now. Mine is working and so is it for the users on the related post
I had the same problem since yesterday. So I ended up submitting my app for review without the preview. Today it was reviewed and appeared in the App Store. I immediately went into iTC and instantiated a new version of the same app. Previously submitted screenshots showed up. I dragged the Preview video I had no luck submitting yesterday... and... it was accepted! With no error message!!!
-_-;;
So here is the strategy you can use if you really want to submit the Preview:
Submit the current "unlucky" version for review. Optionally you can set it to be released manually.
Wait until it is reviewed and flagged as 'ready for sale'.
Instantiate a new version.
Add the Preview by dragging it into the screenshot drop area.
Archive, upload the new version; draw the rest of the owl.
Also make sure that the Preview you created meets the requirements.
Hope it helps.
I've recently finished development on an app and have reached the point of deploying it to the store via iTunes Connect. I had managed to fill out all the required information under "App information", and "Pricing and Availability".
However my issue is i am currently stuck on the "Prepare for Submission" section. I have managed to upload screenshots and select a build. But it will not allow me to save, so essentially any edits under this section are impossible now due to the below error i am receiving:
"Screenshots and app previews for the largest display sizes of your app’s primary localization must be uploaded directly., Screenshots and app previews for the largest display sizes of your app’s primary localization must be uploaded directly."
The above seemed to only occur after switching localisation to English(U.K) and then uploading my screenshots, after i saved those last amends this is when the error started occurring. However i am unable to revert any changes due to the above error.
I apologise if i'm missing something obvious here, but looking through iTunes Connect documentation and scouring the internet has came up with nothing.
I submitted two videos of the issue, one via Safari and the other via CLI tool deliver. The last response i had from Apple was that they were escalating the issue to their engineering team.
I've tried to edit my submission today ( 24/08/2016 ) and can confirm that the issue seems to of been resolved. I have had no response from Apple, but so far it seems to be working as intended.
Unreal problems uploading screenshots to the itunes connect screenshot app.
I have followed the guidlines here for a 3.5in screenshot and yet still get this error message once trying to upload.
Have other people been having this annoying issue?
The image that I am trying to upload is of 640x960, Jpg, RGB, Flattened and of 72res.
The one thing I noticed on their guidlines is that the icons have an iphone around their screenshot. Is this possibly somethign that I need to add?

I've also attached the screenshot I am trying to upload for reference.
Many thanks
Turns out the answer to this post is that you have to use Safari as the dev team of Itunes Connect couldn't be bothered to support other browsers like Chrome which I was experience problems in...
Again Apple making life difficult.
I apologize for this not being exactly a programming question
I have a few apps that I'm deploying internally in our org using ad-hoc distribution with Enterprise account. What worked in iOS6 now creates two icons: one a normal app icon and another one is a weird default icon that has the same name as the main app. Clicking on this icon does not do anything. See attached screenshot (it only has the gray icons). I can remove the app through conventional means (long press and then the "X" icon), but I can not remove the gray icons.
Does anybody know what are those, and how do I get rid of them?
I had the same problem. The fastest way to get rid of these ghost or dead icons is to make a backup of your iDevice and then restore it.
I tried every hint i found with google and nothing helped but the restore. So my advice: Don't google anymore, just backup & restore ;-)
yes, we see that too. often but not always. it definitely looks like a bug
as for getting rid: no really good way...
restart the device, rearrange, delete a few times and wait a few days. a combination of that did the trick for a few phones here
no real solution except for apple to fix it :D
I found a reproducible way of causing this problem.
For me, it appears to be linked to the plist used for over the air distribution.
If you generate it through XCode/Archive/Enterprise Distribution, it works normally.
If you subsequently update the ipa, but keep the old plist, you will get this issue if you did one or more of the following:
1) change bundle identifier
2) changed the mobileprovision used to compile
3) changed the app version
Can anyone confirm? Or is this only happening to me?
I need to install a flash file using adobe air for ios on my iPhone.
I know of this link here that had a similar problem with the same error message
air-for-ios-device-error-please-check-if-there-is-enough-space-on-the-device
But here is my issue, I have created an empty document, nothing in it and created the certificates and provisional profiles in my apple developer portal and it keeps giving the message "device error: please check if there is enough space on the device"
I have over 3Gb free on my device, so I am not sure why it is saying that.
Is there anything else I need to check or do especially?
I have done direct testing and created ad0hoc files and nothing works.
Any tips would be great, in the mean time I will keep googling, but no luck as yet.
So I fixed the issue - I re-created the .p12 certificates and it worked. Not sure why it didn't the first time.
I am not sure about the moderators for the forum, but maybe this could be turned into a protected post where people can post their issues and help each other rather than creating more posts on this same topic??
